How to treat prostate problems with Ayurveda

Prostate enlargement is one of the most common problems that men suffer after they reach 50 years of age. This prostate is a part of the male genital organ which mainly surrounds the outer part of the urinary bladder. If the disorder is due to the vitiation of Vatadosha then the treatment includes herbs like Punarva, Gokshura, Guggulu, Mishri and Shilajit.

Prostate problems of pitta vitiation

When the problem mainly occurs due to pitta vitiation then there are some cooling herbs used in the treatment procedure. They are Ushir and Punarvaha. Sometimes barley and marshmallows are also used here.

Prostate problems of kapha vitiation

In this case, Shilajit and Guggulu are mainly used with the combination of Indian spices like turmeric, ginger and cinnamon. In some cases juniper berries are also recommended.
